  • Denise Jones Henninger

    DVM

    Dr. Denise Jones graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 1983. She spent four years in Lubbock, Texas in an after-hour emergency practice. From 1988-1992 she was a clinician in the small animal outpatient practice at The Ohio State University. She came to Findlay, Ohio with her husband, Dr. Rick Henninger, in 1996. Her special interests include small animal medicine, oncology and ultrasonography. While away from the hospital she enjoys spending time with her husband Rick, their two children Cassie and Drew, their two dogs "Daisy" and "Roxy", and three cats "Snickers", "KitKat" and "Mike".

  • David Calland

    DVM

    Dr. Calland received his B.S. degree from Bowling Green State University in 1975 and his DVM from Ohio State University in 1979. He practiced in Shelby and Warren, Ohio before coming to Findlay in 1982. Dr. Calland and his wife, Susan have 3 children, 3 dogs and a cat. His professional interests include soft tissue and basic orthopedic surgery and internal medicine. His hobbies are flying and photography. He built and flies a Vans RV7 aircraft. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Ohio Veterinary Medical Association, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, and the Experimental Aircraft Association and is a member of the Findlay Rotary Club. Dr. Calland currently serves on the board of the Hancock County Humane Society and previously served on the local board of health and the Blanchard Valley Center board. He also is the past post leader for the Veterinary Explorers group.

  • Katie Frederick Whitta

    DVM

    Dr. Katie Frederick graduated from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. She started working for Findlay Animal Hospital in 2000 as a kennel aid. She was the resident intern from 2001-2002, and graduated from the University of Findlay. Dr. Frederick started as a veterinarian in June of 2006. She enjoys dentistry, emergency medicine and surgery. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with daughter, Annie, and her husband, Brian. She has a dog, "Mackie", and two cats. Dr. Frederick plays the French Horn in the Flag City Civic Band and University of Findlay Symphonic Band. She also enjoys baking, scrapbooking, card making, biking, swimming, and spending time outdoors.

  • Alexandra Tyzzer

    DVM

    Dr. Alexandria Tyzzer received her BS from the University of Findlay and her DVM from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She finished her clinical year at Washington State University (WSU-VTH) and went on to complete a Post Graduate Small Animal Surgical Fellowship at WSU-VTH. She started working for the Findlay Animal Care Center in 1996 as a kennel aid. She was the resident intern at Findlay Animal Hospital from 2002-2003. Dr. Tyzzer enjoys emergency medicine, orthopedic and soft tissue surgery. When she is not working, Dr. Tyzzer likes to travel and spend time with her dog "Bronx", and two cats "Mr. Rodgers" and "Lizard".
